Meet over 150 Makers and a Huge Programme of Live Events (And our latest Podcast & Competition!)
The Digital Craft Festival
We've gathered together over 150 of the finest makers from all over the UK, Northern Ireland and Europe for one of the largest and highly anticipated online, maker events.
If you think that being online, means you can't get properly involved and be part of a thriving and tenacious community, think again.
We have more live vents than ever and have collaborated with leading national craft organisations and inspirational people from all corners of the UK to bring you an immersive weekend of meeting and buying from makers, in-depth conversations, master makers demonstrating their skills and more.
So, How does it work?
Over the Festival weekend, you can meet and buy for over 150 makers. Each maker has a listing with a link to their online shop. Browse all makers, here.
There is a full programme of live events being held on Zoom and availble to book now. There are workshops, talks, demonstrations, films, children's activities and well-being get togethers. The vast majority are FREE, places are limited and need booking NOW!
You might go to the What's On and click links that don't take you anywhere. There is a reason for this, it means that the link will be opened on November 27th. It's an Event, so join us at the end of November for the full programme.
The Capital of Craft
In our latest episode of The Capital of Craft, which is available now, Sarah from Craft Festival talks to knitwear designer maker and alpaca wool farmer, Sian O'Doherty.
Based on Ash Farm near Tenby in Pembrokeshire, Sian talks about how her career and practice has developed, her herd of Alpacas and how good food has kept her grounded.
Sian's podcast is available now. You can subscribe to The Capital of Craft podcast now. CLICK HERE TO LISTEN
In our previous episodes, Sarah, Craft Festival Director, talked to wooden surfboard maker, James Otter, potter Justine Allison and letterpress printer, Nick Hand and Suzi Park from Make it in Wales and printmaker Tom Frost. You can listen to their conversations now.
Next week, we talk with Devon based leather worker and Digital Craft Festival exhibitor, Katy Warriner.
Final Chance to Win Goodies from Crwst
In Cardigan, West Wales, there lives a stunning team of bakers and makers who run a fabulous cafe/bar/bakery/deli called Crwst. We are big fans. We've teamed up with them to give you the chance to win some of their award winning, handmade and gorgeously gooey caramel sauces.
You can win a jar each of Pembrokeshire Sea Salted Caramel ( 2* Great Taste Award Winner) and Barti Rum Salted Caramel. Made with a seaweed infused spiced rum, this is a smooth and luxurious caramel with boozy tones. Described as ‘the Pembrokeshire coastline, captured in a jar'.
Competition closes Midnight TONIGHT October 23rd. CLICK HERE TO ENTER
