Non Precious Jewellery
I'm a jewellery Designer maker based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Currently I am exploring combining mono-printing with traditional jewellery making techniques, to produce colourful wearable art. Using linocut patterns and the off cut shapes from my laser cut wood, I print onto birch or poplar plywood, working intuitively layering colour and patterns until I like what I see. The wooden pieces are then married with silver, copper or brass shapes. I love to explore textures with metals by hammering, stamping and rolling through the mill. Most pieces are one off due to the mono printing technique used..
