Get Creative & Make a Difference
Over the past couple of weeks, thousands of people around the UK have come together virtually to take part in #GetCreativeAtHome.
#GetCreative is an annual campaign which supports and promotes everyday creativity. As part of the campaign, organisations and artists pulled together hundreds of online craft events and activities for individuals to take part in at home, including #HeyCraft by the Crafts Council.
This year, Find a Maker teamed up with #HeyCraft to collate a list of free and fun craft workshops, make-alongs and demonstrations from some of our fantastic makers.

Maker Spotlight
On Tuesday, we broadcasted live on Instagram with Find a Maker member and jeweller, Daisy known as Daisy Lee Jewels.
After graduating from Birmingham School of Jewellery, Daisy moved back to her home city to set up Daisy Lee Jewels in the heart of Sheffield. It is here where she works to create precious jewellery pieces inspired by nature, made by hand. These beautifully stylish pieces are perfect gifts to commemorate significant milestones such as birthdays, graduations, weddings and other special occasions.
You can also meet Daisy in person at Craft Festival, Bovey Tracey from September 10-12.
Daisy's 5 Favourites from Find a Maker
Simon Brock Clog Maker & Leatherworker Fab, fun footwear! I just love these funky clogs.
Tipstudio The form and colour palette is what draws me to Daisy's work. Beautiful use of materials to create stunning textural patterns within the work.
Emily Higham Jewellery As a total earring lover I've been lusting after Emily's jewellery for a while now. Her bold enamel colours and geometric shapes make for fab jewellery pieces.
Amy Stringer I love the simplicity of composition that gives Amy's work a real presence. Beautifully made wearable jewellery.
Penny Little Ceramics Obviously I'm drawn to her colour palette, rich golds contrasting with black and white surfaces. Beautiful control of her material.
