Anya is a mixed media artist, creating sculptural forms using reclaimed, found and vintage materials. Anya specialises in wire working however she incorporates various materials, destined for landfill, within her work and has a particular interest in using discarded and broken objects. Importance is placed on being as gentle on our environment as possible and so Anya has begun using reclaimed textiles, a lot of which she dyes and stains with plants. Inspiration is derived from folklore, fairy tales and childhood adventures, ideas eventually form into anthropomorphic creatures and characters as well as talismanic artefacts and adornments..
